1962-63 Girls Basketball Team, 2025

The 1962-63 Girls Basketball Team team posted a perfect 19-0 regular season record in the 20th District. This district had 13 teams from schools of all sizes – there was no classification based on enrollment then as there is now. With their championship win in the 20th District Tournament, they moved on to the Region 5 tournament at David Lipscomb College. For their first game in the region they faced a really great team out of the 19th district, Waverly. Unfortunately, the Lady Cats fell to this team that eventually advanced to the State Tournament.

Hall of Fame Coach W. H."Blue" Howse (2006) was the coach of this great team. Two members of this team were previously inducted in the HOF: Jane Hall Wall (2007) and Carol Feldkircher Cloer (2017).
