Myrtle Bellar (Ayers), 2009
Myrtle still recognized as one of the best girls basketball players of all time at Greenbrier High. She served as captain of the team and was named Most Athletic her senior year in 1954. During her senior year, the team compiled a 14-5 record and a place in the region tournament.
After completing her high school career, she was employed as a secretary by the Robertson County Board of Education until her retirement. Myrtle is the older sister of William Clark Bellar who was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2007. |
