Kim Parker, 2023

Picture
 Kim was a member of the graduating class of 1966. He was a member of the football and basketball teams for 4 years. 

​Some of the highlights and honors in football were:
  • Ran for almost 2,200 yards in 3 seasons
  • Scored 159 points
  • 1964 and 1965 Red River Valley All-Conference
  • 1964 and 1965 All Mid-State
  • 1964 and 1965 Most Valuable Player.
  • Helped  lead his team to the 1964 & 1965 Red River Valley Conference Championship.
  • Played one year of football at Middle Tennessee State University before a shoulder injury ended his career.
 
In basketball, while not a starter he played in 64 games in a span of 4 years and wore the number #35.

​He considers the win over White House in 1965 for the conference title as the highlight of his playing career. He also enjoyed making longtime friends with other players and he loved playing football. He is so honored to be receiving this award at the same time that his baby brother (Johnny) is being inducted into the GHS Sports Hall of Fame.
