Bit of Trivia: The Bobcat officially became the mascot of Greenbrier High School in May 1940 when the student body voted it to be the emblem of its teams.
The Greenbrier High School Athletic Hall of Fame was established to celebrate and preserve the rich athletic history and tradition of GHS and the positive impact athletes and sports have had on our community.  

Selection is based on criteria including a nomination based on athletic participation, individual accomplishment as well as team success and athletic involvement after graduation from Greenbrier High School. In addition to athletes, inductees may include coaches or administrators who have had a significant impact on GHS athletics.  

The inaugural class, inducted in 2005, included athletes prior to 1950.  Each year an additional decade of participation has been added to the eligibility. 

Each inductee has a plaque with a photo and description of achievements posted on the gymnasium wall near the entrance to the home-side seating on the upper level.
