Phillip Ray Edwards. 2020

Phillip was a member of the graduating class of 1967.  He was a member of the football team for four years.  As a senior, he was the captain of the team and was also selected to the Red River Valley All-Conference Team.

Phillip was an integral part of the two Red River Valley Conference Championships that GHS won in 1964 and 1965.  He was a defensive star and an outstanding fullback.

He loved playing football, winning games and playing with his GHS teammates.  He proudly wore his #32 jersey.

​Unfortunately, Phillip lost his life shortly after he graduated from high school.
